I am now at Year 11 at school and I am currently getting ready for some of my exams in November, as well as completing all the homework that I have been given. At this moment I am feeling pressured about my exams and what to do in the future, but I know that I will get it done in the end, because then I will have much less to worry about.

The Final Day…
Well the last day has finally come and I have to say I have enjoyed my time during work experience. During the two weeks that I have been here in Elogicom Ltd I have done a mixture of tiring and interesting jobs, and got an insight into what work experience is really like, and it helped me to really understand what it is like have a job. I have also grown to understand the hard work employers in businesses do just to make other people happy, so I will use this experience to help me when I start looking for a job, In any description, hours, or anything. I have done a range of tasks, such as sorting out cartridges, looking at databases, collecting postcodes for charities, counting cartridges and writing then on a sheet, and learning how to prepare and send out a parcel to someone, which I can use to help me in the future. So remember this: If you are a parent who is helping your child find a work experience placement, or someone who is not really bothered, or a young child who will start work experience soon, work experience is not something easy which you won’t learn anything at, it is a chance to find out what career choice is right for you, and if you are willing to work hard, it will be worth it in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog about a work experience placement at Elogicom Ltd.

The Eighth Day
It is now the eighth day and I had to a big job. I had to count groups of print cartridges to see how many of each kind there was. It was difficult as it was hard to find the right cartridges I needed to check on and the fact that there were many different kinds of print cartridges in the stock room. After that I had to go on the database so I could change the numbers of the print cartridges there were on the database to the numbers that I had on the sheet I used to record the data with. After that I had to go and deliver some print cartridges to the printer shop: Perseus Star.

The Seventh Day
On the start of the seventh day I continued to search for postcodes belonging to scout groups and after spending a long time trying to find them, I managed to find some of them. After that, there was more printer cartridges to sort out, and then I tried to resigster to some affiliate websites that I could not sign up to again.

The Fifth Day
On the fifth day I used a comb binder to put pages together to create three information booklets, and then I put them in a jiffy bag, labelled them with the company’s address and the address of the person who we were sending it to and then, I was off to the post office to send the parcel out. Also, after I had delivered the parcel I confirmed some print cartridges that had been sent out to us and sorted them out into bags. I also registered my website with Amazon so people can access it easily if they want to buy something.

The Third Day
On the third day I had to sort out another print cartridge and put it into a bag. I also learned how to make money out of a website. This is done by registering a affiliate account on a website that you have created. This means that if someone goes on your website then if they click or buy from a advertised business on your web page you can get paid for it. If you are interested then click on this link: Altovista.co.uk. The sites I have registered with are: Affiliate Future and Affiliate Window.
